Good morning dear friends and sweet readers!
We are officially into day 10 of meteorological spring. Yay! Even though it is not quite spring here in Calgary after the latest snow dump this past Sunday, I am more than ready for its arrival. So if you are like me and it’s not quite spring where you are – or even if it is – I have a treat for you today. I am joining 15 other talented tablescape artists hosted by the fabulous Rita from Panoply in a spring/Easter tablescape blog hop. Thank you Rita! The links to their tables can be found at the end of this post and I guarantee they will bring a smile to your face and put you in the mood for spring!

So let’s hop to it 🐇. Bunny ears are the theme for this Easter tablescape, starting with these bunny ear taper candles from Pier 1 many moons ago.

.
To complement the candles, I brought out my Magenta bunny ear appetizer plates. They are such fun plates whether used on the table or on the side as an appy dish. They came in a set of four:
Two that were right side up

.

.
And two that were upside down:

.

.
I’ve placed them on pink salad plates and creamy white dinner plates, both with a fluted border, and then set them on rattan charger plates. I added pink and white checked napkins held with burlap bunny ear napkin rings 🐰.

.
Ivory flatware is from a company called Annova but it doesn’t seem to have a pattern name.

.
Stemware was gold-rimmed pink wine glasses and my favorite clear crackled stemless champagne glasses. I know that I use these champagne glasses a lot but I like their slender silhouette on the table.
.

.
The center of the table started with this scripted table runner with the words “garden”, “butterfly”, “flowers” and “spring”, all perfect for the occasion. Burlap bunnies sport white pom pom tails.

.
Taking my cue from the table runner, a rustic bird vase holds faux pink daisies and lilies, and some ivory hydrangeas. There can be no real lilies in this house as they are very toxic to kitties.

I always smile at the ways Michaels sometimes embellishes their flowers – here with eggs on the lily stems and pearl centers on the hydrangeas.

.
And we can’t forget the butterflies.

.

.
A few Easter eggs just for fun.

.
And some beaded carrots for bunny sustenance 🥕🥕.

.
There is a backside to the table because, well, bunnies only have pink on the inside of their ears.

.
If you don’t like the backs of the bunny ears, you could always substitute pink taper candles and that would solve the problem. I didn’t have any pink tapers on hand, nor did I have four tapers of any other color. But here’s what it could look like with just ordinary taper candles. I don’t mind the addition of another color and either the green or the blue would work if you don’t have pink.

.
Resources:
Pier 1 brick and mortar store: Rattan chargers, bunny taper candles, and crackled champagne glasses, all many years ago. I’ve seen bunny taper candles on eBay from time to time – some from Pier 1 and some not.
Ikea: Pink salad plates many years ago.
Anthropologie: Gold rimmed pink wine glasses (Waterfall series) several years ago and still available.
Amazon: Pink and white checked napkins, Annova flatware (no pattern name) several years ago.
Williams Sonoma: Alabaster eggs many years ago but still available (although slightly different).
HomeSense: Magenta appetizer plates, dinner plates (Mikasa Italian Countryside), table runner, wooden eggs several to many years ago. Butterfly stems were also from several years ago, but I’ve seen almost identical ones in Michaels this year. Wooden beaded carrots were a find this year.
The bunny ear napkin rings were an online purchase several years ago but I don’t remember who or where they were from. Pottery Barn has similar and Temu has some really cute ones too.

Bunny ears and Easter wishes…

.
Ear’s wishing everyone a most joyous Easter and a very happy spring!

.
I included this last overhead shot taken a few days earlier because I like the diffuse sunshine on the table.

Kim, I immediately broke out in a soft chuckle when I seen your adorable time with the bunny ear taper candles and the comical bunny ear appetitizer plates. So incredibly cute! The pink and white are the perfect colors since the pink makes me think of the cute bunny ears and noses that you see on stuffed bunny toys. The table runner goes so well with the placemats and the burlap bunny ear napkin rings. I can just imagine a bunny popping out from behind the flowers at me from the hidden bunnies in the plates. So playful. I love it. Happy Easter!
Kim, the bunny ear candles are so unique, I have never seen any like those. The bunny ear plates are charming as is your ‘bunny ears’ theme. A pink and white table is so perfect for spring and Easter. The scripted table runner with burlap bunnies and their Pom Pom tails is perfect for your table. I miss Pier 1, I could always find something I didn’t need. The overhead shot is gorgeous! I hope you see signs of spring soon. Next week we are to have lows in the 20’s at night. I am afraid a couple of nights below freezing will ruin my snowball tree. It is always fun to sit at one of your lovely tables, my friend!
Adorable Pink tablescape! Thank you for such inspiration. Happy Easter!
I love all of the pink that I am seeing this morning. I have never particularly been a “pink” person, but you all are tempting me mightily! Those bunny ear candles are wonderful! I have never seen anything like that before. I used to haunt our local Pier 1 store, so I thought I knew all of the inventory. Apparently not. I also love your bunny salad/appetizer plates. Understated, but adorable!
Kim, such a fun and pretty table. Love the pink! Those bunny eat candles are so cute and unique. They go perfectly with your Rae Dunn bunny ear plates. Bunny ear napkin rings are perfect for this whimsical table. One cannot have enough bunnies. A beautiful table to welcome spring. Always a pleasure joining you at the table.🌸🐇🌸
Kim, what a cute theme! Bunny ears are such a fun idea, and this is the cutest table. The bunny ear candles are so unusual and fun! Enjoy the spring days ahead. Happy Easter!
Kim, Your bunny ears candles are adorable…and your candles have lasted a long time. I have a pair of Avon white, taper candles with rabbits clinging to the sides that I just can’t part with. Each year I think they will bend from temps but they still remain straight, perhaps because I keep them in their original box, but they are OLD. Your pink and white table made me smile this morning and the bunny ears plates are so darn cute as are the bunny tails on your table runner. I hope you are staying warm ‘up there’ as our temps ‘down here’ are typical March days when sun shines hot and wind blows cold. Always fun ‘hopping’ with you.
Aww, I love those candles and your adorable bunny ears theme styled pretty in pink! It’s a pleasure to join you today! Blessings, Cecilia – My Thrift Store Addiction
The bunny plates are too cute – I adore the ones that are upside down! The candles are quite unique and I prefer them over the pastel candles. Thia table certainly welcomes in spring – enjoy!
Good morning Kim, I adore your ‘bunny ears’ theme! Your Rae Dunn bunny ear plates are adorable as are your tapers…(I so miss Pier1…*sniff*) Love the layers of pink and white and your burlap bunny table runner. I had to chuckle at ‘beaded carrots for bunny sustenance’ 😊 I love your rustic bird vase with your floral material as a centerpiece too. As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. I hope you see signs or spring in your neck of the wood soon!🐇🩷
The cutest Easter bunny table ever!! I’m crushing on those bunny ears candles! You soon forget the snowstorm outside with such a beautiful, spring table!! You are so talented!!!
Love it all, my friend!!
