Good morning dear friends and sweet readers!
We are officially into day 10 of meteorological spring. Yay! Even though it is not quite spring here in Calgary after the latest snow dump this past Sunday, I am more than ready for its arrival. So if you are like me and it’s not quite spring where you are – or even if it is – I have a treat for you today. I am joining 15 other talented tablescape artists hosted by the fabulous Rita from Panoply in a spring/Easter tablescape blog hop. Thank you Rita! The links to their tables can be found at the end of this post and I guarantee they will bring a smile to your face and put you in the mood for spring!
So let’s hop to it 🐇. Bunny ears are the theme for this Easter tablescape, starting with these bunny ear taper candles from Pier 1 many moons ago.

.
To complement the candles, I brought out my Magenta/Rae Dunn bunny ear appetizer plates. They are such fun plates whether used on the table or on the side as an appy dish. They came in a set of four:
Two that were right side up

.

.
And two that were upside down:

.

.
I’ve placed them on pink salad plates and creamy white dinner plates, both with a fluted border, and then set them on rattan charger plates. I added pink and white checked napkins held with burlap bunny ear napkin rings 🐰.

.
Ivory flatware is from a company called Annova but it doesn’t seem to have a pattern name.

.
Stemware was gold-rimmed pink wine glasses and my favorite clear crackled stemless champagne glasses. I know that I use these champagne glasses a lot but I like their slender silhouette on the table.
.

.
The center of the table started with this scripted table runner with the words “garden”, “butterfly”, “flowers” and “spring”, all perfect for the occasion. Burlap bunnies sport white pom pom tails.

.
Taking my cue from the table runner, a rustic bird vase holds faux pink daisies and lilies, and some ivory hydrangeas. There can be no real lilies in this house as they are very toxic to kitties.

I always smile at the ways Michaels sometimes embellishes their flowers – here with eggs on the lily stems and pearl centers on the hydrangeas.

.
And we can’t forget the butterflies.

.

.
A few Easter eggs just for fun.

.
And some beaded carrots for bunny sustenance 🥕🥕.

.
There is a backside to the table because, well, bunnies only have pink on the inside of their ears.

.
If you don’t like the backs of the bunny ears, you could always substitute pink taper candles and that would solve the problem. I didn’t have any pink tapers on hand, nor did I have four tapers of any other color. But here’s what it could look like with just ordinary taper candles. I don’t mind the addition of another color and either the green or the blue would work if you don’t have pink.

.
Resources:
Pier 1 brick and mortar store: Rattan chargers, bunny taper candles, and crackled champagne glasses, all many years ago. I’ve seen bunny taper candles on eBay from time to time – some from Pier 1 and some not.
Ikea: Pink salad plates many years ago.
Anthropologie: Gold rimmed pink wine glasses (Waterfall series) several years ago and still available.
Amazon: Pink and white checked napkins, Annova flatware (no pattern name) several years ago.
Williams Sonoma: Alabaster eggs many years ago but still available (although slightly different).
HomeSense: Magenta appetizer plates, dinner plates (Mikasa Italian Countryside), table runner, wooden eggs several to many years ago. Butterfly stems were also from several years ago, but I’ve seen almost identical ones in Michaels this year. Wooden beaded carrots were a find this year.
The bunny ear napkin rings were an online purchase several years ago but I don’t remember who or where they were from. Pottery Barn has similar and Temu has some really cute ones too.
.
.
Bunny ears and Easter wishes…

.
‘Ear’s wishing everyone a most joyous Easter and a very happy spring!

.
I included this last overhead shot taken a few days earlier because I like the diffuse sunshine on the table.

Oh my goodness Kim! Those bunny ear candles are adorable! I love the plates too! The pink and white mixed with the natural elements make a really lovely table. I love Homesense for so many seasonal finds! The wood bead carrots are really cool. I didn’t see anything like that at my local Homesense or I would have snapped them up. We are still have daily snow flurries here in Southern Ontario, and like you I cannot wait until spring gets here for real!
Thanks so much for your comments Maureen. The beaded carrots were a last minute addition to the table, and as you said, I couldn’t resist scooping them up. I think there was only one in our local HomeSense (at least the one the I typically go to). I’m so sorry about your weather and I know your area has had a nasty winter this year. Here’s hoping that spring is (finally) on the way! Happy Easter!
Kim, I love seeing bunnies on spring tables! The plates are cute and those bunny ear candles and napkin rings are adorable! All the soft pinks definitely signal that spring is on its way. I like the natural textures you’ve used for the chargers and the napkin rings, and their echo in the lovely table runner. Not to forget the burlap bunnies with pom-pom tails! Wishing you a wonderful spring!
Sandra, I am a self-confessed bunny addict. I would have to say that Easter is one of my favorite times of the year and so is an Easter tablescape. So for me, these tables are always so much fun to put together. Bunny love indeed. And pink is also a favorite color so the table just kind of happened. Thanks for your comments and I hope you have a wonderful spring as well (with no more frost). Happy Easter!
Oh my gosh, bunny ear taper candles!! How totally fun! I love your appetizer plates too, and your layers of pink and white, AND the bunny ear napkin rings! Who would have thought there were so many Bunny-Ear choices out there!? Your rattan chargers are perfect to set off all the color. Wow – Pink wine glasses! I love your champagne glasses too – as you know, I use the same glassware almost every time! Hey, if you love it, use it, right?! The further into the post, the more darling it gets – those puffy tailed bunnies on the runner – SO cute, and bringing in the burlap/rattan element again. You really have an eye! Your centerpiece of course, is charming. Love the backside of the table, and the alternate colors too, especially with the matching eggs. Better stop now – I could write a book! Thanks for the smile and the inspiration my friend! See you out and about!
Barbara, you are so funny – you make me smile! Yes, indeed who knew that there were so many bunny ear choices out there lol. Actually, it all kind of evolved over the years starting with the bunny appetizer plates, then the bunny ear tapers, followed by the bunny ear napkin rings. Somewhere along the line the runner found a home here. The pink wine glasses are from Anthropologie (also many years ago) but are still available. Glad the table brought a smile and thanks for your sweet comments, my friend. Happy spring and happy Easter to you (and oh my gosh, your camellias are so beautiful!)!
Your bunny ear candles made me smile as soon as I saw them, Kim. Then you pictured your bunny ear plates which made the smile grow larger. When I saw the two upside down plates the smile was full-blown. Such a fun table and really liked how you kept the color palate simple with just pink and white. Such fun for Easter/. All the other bunny ear elements just added to the fun. Thanks for sharing. It’s always a pleasure to hop with you.
Lynne, Thrifting Wonderland
Lynne, I’m so glad the table made you smile big! It was really a lot of fun to pull together and I love working with a pink palette – especially in spring. Eldest son and DIL are hosting Easter this year so I won’t get to set a table with them, but they have joined us many times in the past. Thanks so much for your comments and it’s always a pleasure to hop with you too. Happy spring and happy Easter!
Kim, your bunny ear tapers made me smile from ear to ear!! So cute! I have those appetizer plates and can not part with them because they are so darn cute! I love the burlap details and the pink check napkins you used with them. I have never seen the beaded carrots before!! Your table is cheerful and delightful. I hope you have a joyful spring and Easter! 🌸🐇
Ha Ann! I just had to pop over to your site and see what you did with those bunny plates. Your tables are adorable (of course). I’m so glad that you kept yours in your stash – they are so versatile and work on the table or as appy plates on the side. And they just lend themselves to a pink color palette. I’ve had mine for about 10 years or so and have used them for many family Easter brunches. Thanks for your comments and wishing you a happy spring and joyful Easter as well!
Awwww the ear plates are so cute! I am having to live vicariously through y’all since my kitchen and dining room are torn up! Happy spring!
Oh Ricki Jill I missed you this time. But I totally get all the chaos that must come from renovating. But it will all be so beautiful when it’s done and you will probably be most thankful and relieved. Happy spring to you sweet lady!
Eggs-cellent! Love love love the bunny ears plates.
Ha ha – that’s so funny. Thanks for you visit and sweet comment. Happy spring and happy Easter to you!
Kim, this spring table is adorable. Those appetizer plates are fabulously cute! So are the bunny ear tapers, and those wooden carrots definitely caught my attention. I love those crackle glasses from Pier 1 also, wish I’d gotten the stemless champagnes like you, but I bought the stemmed version. Blenko collectors go gaga over any of their vintage crackle glassware, so Pier 1 had me sold immediately. I really like the Anthro pink stemware too. The runner with bunny cottontails is perfect on the table with your theme. Even though spring has yet to come your way, you definitely made it feel like it’s there with the florals and table design. Thanks so much for bringing your seasonal style to your readers and mine by joining this fun change of season hop!
Aww, Rita, thanks so much. The table came together pretty easily and it definitely helps when you have almost all that was used in your stash. I dream of stash tables lol. And my favorite color is pink so nothing was a big stretch. I too wish I would have paid more attention to those crackle glasses when Pier 1 had them in different colors. I’ve seen some on eBay but they have been the stemmed wine glasses only. I’m sure there was an amethyst color at one point in the stemless champagne ones and they would have been so pretty. Ah well. Thanks for your comments and for the fabulous job you do in hosting. It is much appreciated. Happy spring, happy Easter, and happy upcoming gardening season!
Kim, I immediately broke out in a soft chuckle when I seen your adorable time with the bunny ear taper candles and the comical bunny ear appetitizer plates. So incredibly cute! The pink and white are the perfect colors since the pink makes me think of the cute bunny ears and noses that you see on stuffed bunny toys. The table runner goes so well with the placemats and the burlap bunny ear napkin rings. I can just imagine a bunny popping out from behind the flowers at me from the hidden bunnies in the plates. So playful. I love it. Happy Easter!
Marsha, I am absolutely delighted that the bunny ears and appetizer plates brought a smile to your face. I love bunnies and I love pink so the table was a lot of fun to set. Mostly everything on the table came from my stash and some of it is quite old (I think the appetizer plates are more than a decade old) so it’s doubly satisfying when everything comes together. Thanks so much for your sweet comments and I hope you have a happy spring and a lovely Easter!
Kim, the bunny ear candles are so unique, I have never seen any like those. The bunny ear plates are charming as is your ‘bunny ears’ theme. A pink and white table is so perfect for spring and Easter. The scripted table runner with burlap bunnies and their Pom Pom tails is perfect for your table. I miss Pier 1, I could always find something I didn’t need. The overhead shot is gorgeous! I hope you see signs of spring soon. Next week we are to have lows in the 20’s at night. I am afraid a couple of nights below freezing will ruin my snowball tree. It is always fun to sit at one of your lovely tables, my friend!
Thanks Pam – it was a fun table to put together. I hope spring will arrive soon too, and I am sorry for your crazy cold weather and frosts down there. I hope your beautiful snowball tree survives! It’s fun to sit at one of your lovely tables too, and I’m wishing you a very happy spring and a joyous Easter!
Adorable Pink tablescape! Thank you for such inspiration. Happy Easter!
Thank you for your visit and comments Maristella! Glad their was some inspiration for you and Happy Easter to you too!
I love all of the pink that I am seeing this morning. I have never particularly been a “pink” person, but you all are tempting me mightily! Those bunny ear candles are wonderful! I have never seen anything like that before. I used to haunt our local Pier 1 store, so I thought I knew all of the inventory. Apparently not. I also love your bunny salad/appetizer plates. Understated, but adorable!
Thanks for your comments Pattie. I was a Pier 1 stalker too lol I am a pink lover I confess and yes, all the tables in today’s hop were so lovely – pink or otherwise. Such wonderful colors for spring. It was great hopping with you and I hope you have a wonderful Easter!
Kim, such a fun and pretty table. Love the pink! Those bunny eat candles are so cute and unique. They go perfectly with your Rae Dunn bunny ear plates. Bunny ear napkin rings are perfect for this whimsical table. One cannot have enough bunnies. A beautiful table to welcome spring. Always a pleasure joining you at the table.🌸🐇🌸
Thank you Linda! I really like pink too (in fact, it’s my favorite color) so putting together this pink table was a lot of fun. I agree that one can never have too many bunnies (or bunny ears) unless they happen to be outside munching on your garden. It was a pleasure joining you at the table as well and I hope you have a happy spring and a wonderful Easter!
Kim, what a cute theme! Bunny ears are such a fun idea, and this is the cutest table. The bunny ear candles are so unusual and fun! Enjoy the spring days ahead. Happy Easter!
Thanks Sarah and I am so looking forward to spring. It’s the time of year when I am just winter-weary. I hope your spring weather is beautiful there and wishing you a happy Easter as well!
Kim, Your bunny ears candles are adorable…and your candles have lasted a long time. I have a pair of Avon white, taper candles with rabbits clinging to the sides that I just can’t part with. Each year I think they will bend from temps but they still remain straight, perhaps because I keep them in their original box, but they are OLD. Your pink and white table made me smile this morning and the bunny ears plates are so darn cute as are the bunny tails on your table runner. I hope you are staying warm ‘up there’ as our temps ‘down here’ are typical March days when sun shines hot and wind blows cold. Always fun ‘hopping’ with you.
Thanks Kari. Yes, I do keep the bunny ears in their original packing so perhaps that does help preserve them. I’m trying to think how old they are and all I know for sure is that Pier 1 has been closed for 6 years here so they are at least that old and probably older. AT least I don’t have to worry about the temps melting them lol. I know that I would never light them. Our temps are exactly as you say – at this time of year the sun is warm but the wind is still cool. We are to get some much warmer temps this week so hurray for that. It’s fun hopping with you too!
Aww, I love those candles and your adorable bunny ears theme styled pretty in pink! It’s a pleasure to join you today! Blessings, Cecilia – My Thrift Store Addiction
Thank you Cecilia. Pink is my favorite color and when everything from my stash came together for this table, I was delighted. It was a pleasure joining you on the hop as well and I’m wishing you a happy spring and a most joyous Easter.
The bunny plates are too cute – I adore the ones that are upside down! The candles are quite unique and I prefer them over the pastel candles. Thia table certainly welcomes in spring – enjoy!
Thanks Patti. I’m hoping Mother Nature will take a hint from the table and usher in spring. Perhaps, as we are supposed to get some unusually warm temps later this week. Fingers crossed. Happy spring to you!
Good morning Kim, I adore your ‘bunny ears’ theme! Your Rae Dunn bunny ear plates are adorable as are your tapers…(I so miss Pier1…*sniff*) Love the layers of pink and white and your burlap bunny table runner. I had to chuckle at ‘beaded carrots for bunny sustenance’ 😊 I love your rustic bird vase with your floral material as a centerpiece too. As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. I hope you see signs or spring in your neck of the wood soon!🐇🩷
Thanks Mary. The wooden beaded carrots were a laugh-out-loud in the store find. I couldn’t resist. It was a pleasure to join you at the table too, and I hope spring is treating you well and your garden is starting to bloom!
The cutest Easter bunny table ever!! I’m crushing on those bunny ears candles! You soon forget the snowstorm outside with such a beautiful, spring table!! You are so talented!!!
Love it all, my friend!!
Thanks so much Charlotte. You are right – I did forget about the snowstorm because another came along and took it’s place lol. Hope your weather is better there. Take care, my friend!
