Good morning!

Spring is coming and Easter will be here before we know it!  Yay!  I have bunnies on my mind and I am itching to set an Easter tablescape.  I was thinking about pink for this table, and I immediately thought of my Magenta bunny plates.  I’ve had these plates for a long time, and they have joined us at Easter many times in the past.  They are like old friends.  And while I don’t know if our indoor gathering restrictions will be lifted in time for Easter dinner – I can’t quite believe that we might miss Easter for the second year in a row – I am crossing my fingers.  Vaccinations are rolling out as we speak…

The Magenta appetizer bunny plates have a vintage feel to them, although strictly speaking, the company was supposedly only formed in 2002.  No matter.  I am a sucker for anything script and anything distressed.  These bunny plates certainly fit the bill.

Some burlap bunnies with white pom-pom tails on a script table runner hopped onto the table.  They also fit the bill.

The plate stack consisted of the Magenta bunny plates layered on a pale pink salad plate.  In turn, the appetizer plates and pink salad plates sat on beige distressed dinner plates and rustic looking flower rattan chargers.

I chose gold flatware to pick up the gold rim in the wine glasses.  I’ve also added some stemless champagne glasses; I guess this will be a brunch table with sparkling wine and mimosas!

The napkins are a lineny-beige with ivory lace edging.  I’ve had the napkin rings for several years but this is the first time I’ve used them.

This distressed bird pitcher asked to join the party.  But of course!  It is filled with pale pink faux flowers.  I couldn’t resist these lilies with the ivory eggs from Michaels.  The daisies and what I think might be chrysanthemums were from the dollar store.

The flowers are flanked by bunny appetizer dishes, just waiting for some bunny cakelets for dessert.  I added a rustic leaping bunny, some table scatter, and some tulips in egg shells.  There is a bunny peeking out from between the tulips.

A strange thing happened the other evening.  I noticed sunlight in the dining room.  Huh?  Now that’s strange because our dining room faces north and the only time we ever see sunlight in there is during the longest days of the year.  Turns out it was the sun shining on our neighbor’s windows across the back lane and reflecting into the dining room.  I took advantage of it to take some pictures as it seemed to alter the hue of the table and soften it somehow..

A few last looks at the table.

Wishing everyone a happy and blessed Easter!

  1. Good Morning….love those plates. Sometimes I wish us tablescapers all lived in the same town so that we could borrow dishes from each other!!!

Happy Easter and thanks for stopping by SupperTableTalk!

    1. Nicki, that is a very interesting idea – it would be so fun to see how someone else styled your plates. Plus, it would really cut down on storage issues lol! Loved your pretty tablescape and thanks for stopping by and your comments. Happy Easter!

  2. I’ve finally caught up and checked out all the blogs I’ve missed since having baby. As per usual, I love them all. But it does disappoint me some to know that they are just for show and not for hosting right now. Stupid Covid. Thanks for continuing to share anyways, gives me ideas to look forward to using at a later date. Miss you !

    1. Welcome back Danielle and I miss you too! I know the time demands of littles ones – such a cute photo of Gabrielle on Facebook and Daniel is growing like a weed. I found these Magenta bunny plates back in 2015 and they have been on our Easter table since – except for last year and this year – yes, stupid Covid. So it was a bittersweet table to set knowing for sure now that we won’t be able to gather indoors this year either. The current plan is to hold Easter outside, weather permitting, with hopefully no further restrictions to follow even as the variants cases continue to outpace the vaccinations… Not sure what your Easter plans are but wishing you, Bow, and little ones the best!

  3. Kim, what a beautiful table…so perfect for Easter. I love the Magenta bunny plates, I have never seen these before. Your napkin rings are so cute, it was good that you were finally able to use them. Happy Easter!

    1. Thanks for your comments Pam, and for stopping by. Its been so nice to meet some of you lovely tablescaping ladies over the past year, and you’ve given me a lot of inspiration. Love the Sunshine Cottage!! Happy Easter to you too!

  4. Thanks so much Jenna for your comments and for stopping by. I’m really hoping too that we can gather this year for Easter – its been almost 4 months that our indoor gathering restrictions have been in place. Yikes! Happy Easter to you too, and I hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

  5. Oh Kim, this is beautiful!! Love the soft pinks and wonderful textures! Your bunny plates are adorable, the plate stack on the rattan chargers look fabulous and the bunny runner full of delightful bunnies, eggs, and flowers is delightful! I hope you will be able to have your celebration and toast with mimosas and sparkling wine 🥂 Tucking the eggs into your centerpiece is such a fun idea! Happy Easter and Happy Spring!
