Home and garden, tablescaping, organization, DIY

Good morning!

Welcome to the Spring Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by the lovely and talented Rita from Panoply!  She has gathered 20 bloggers together to share their spring tabletop inspiration with you.  Thank you Rita for organizing this blog hop!  You can see all the other bloggers’ links at the end of this post.

By the time this post goes live, it will officially be the second day of calendar spring.  Sadly, looking out our front door it’s not here yet.  Not even close.  Given this, it is perhaps understandable that its the time of year when I am giddy with anticipation for spring’s arrival.  I have even been known to slip into bouts of silliness in my giddiness – just a heads up lol.

This table started with these damask bunny salad plates from William Sonoma.  I fell hard for them back in 2017, even before “tablescaping” and a “blog” were words in my vocabulary.  They have graced our table every Easter since then, apart from the two pandemic years when we couldn’t gather.  There are four different plates in the collection…

I set them on Mikasa dinner plates, clear beaded glass chargers, and a blue placemat.  Some pale blue and ivory buffalo check napkins with ivory dahlia napkin rings, simple flatware, and clear etched wine glasses completed the place settings.

A matching damask table runner formed the base of the “centerpiece”.

Hey!  I could use some help here.  The eggs are falling!

Yikes!  Hold on.

We’re coming!

Some bunnies have gathered behind the bunny ear tapers in glass tulip holders for their annual spring meeting.

I heard that Mr. McGregor’s garden is the first item on the agenda.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the table…

Could you please give me a leg up?  I want to see what’s up there.

Oooh.  It’s a robin’s nest.  Best not disturb.

A sweet bunny with basket and butterfly holds Easter goodies.  Feel free to help yourself to Cadbury mini chocolate eggs.  Please.  My hips thank you.

Thanks for visiting and wishing everyone a happy and blessed Easter!

    1. Nicki, thank you so much for your comments and I’m glad you liked the bunnies. It was so nice to hear from you and I’m glad everything is okay with you. Take care over there!

  1. Oh my! That first plate with the bunny peeking over the edge is just too cute!! I love the soft blue of your ikat table runner, just perfect in my eyes! A true blue lover here! All of your bunnies are just so cute and just the right thing for an Easter table! I like the “meeting of the bunnies” theme, such a great idea! The clear chargers are great, I love the ball detailing on them. I see you have lots of treasures from the good old Pier 1! Do you miss it as much as I do? No one else has filled their shoes! Happy Spring! Enjoy your sweet bunny table!

    1. Thanks so much Chloe for your visit and comments. Yes, the bunny peeking over the edge is my favorite, but please don’t tell the others. I still miss old Pier 1 even now. Maybe even especially now since our furniture is starting to wear and it was my favorite place to shop and not just for tableware. I agree with you that no one else come even close to filling their shoes! Sigh. I try not to think about it. On a brighter note, your table was gorgeous!! I hope you are having a wonderful spring and happy Easter to you!

  2. Kim, your blue and white Spring tablescape is so lovely! I love your bunny plates and the matching runner. The assortment of ceramic bunny figurines and serving pieces are so cute. I love the floral napkin rings, too. It was nice to “meet” you on the hop. Happy Spring!

    1. Rebecca, it was lovely to “meet” you as well on this hop. Thank you for your sweet comments and your visit. I do confess to having a bit of a bunny obsession lol. I’m wishing you a very happy spring as well, and I hope your Easter is wonderful!

  3. Kim, I love bunnies, and you have so many precious ones adorning your table. Those bunny plates are so pretty! You have created such a gorgeous spring table. I am so sorry about all the snow, but I know spring will arrive soon. Spring has been a little slow to arrive here in Oklahoma as well. It is always a joy to join you on these hops. Happy spring!

    1. Shannon, thank you for your lovely comments and visit. I am so glad to hear you are a fellow bunny-lover! I know they are a nuisance in the garden but they are just so cute. Some of our snow has started to melt but there is still lots to go. Delighted to hop with you as well, and wishing you a happy spring and beautiful Easter!

  4. Kim, your post is so sweet!! All those adorable bunnies!! Love the bowl with the three bunnies climbing out. Your plates make me smile and I can see why they are some of your favorites. The soft blue damask and bunny brown make such a beautiful, calming color pallet. Lovely table!!! I hope you have a blessed Easter and a wonderful spring🌷🌼🌱

    1. Ann, thanks so much for your sweet comments! Those bunny plates definitely are favorites around here and I’m really glad that you enjoyed them. The bowl with the bunnies climbing out was part of the original collection I believe, and they carried it for several years after. But I’ve seen similar at other places too – maybe a version in HomeSense (your HomeGoods)?? Not 100% sure. I hope you have a blessed Easter and a wonderful spring too!

  5. Kim, you had me at that first photo of the damask plates, with the wee bunny! First, I love your colour theme! But, your collection of bunny cake stands and bowls are just darling! The little nest and eggs are a nice touch. The floral napkins holders really caught my eye! Thankfully I don’t have as much snow as you to contend with, but we are definitely not out of the woods yet when it comes to snow in the forecast!

    1. Maureen, thank you so much for your visit and comments. I’m so glad you liked the table and I think it was the color of the plates that I originally fell in love with (plus the bunnies). Yes, that snow… The picture was taken several weeks ago now and some of it has melted (thankfully) but there is still lot more to go. And we are not out of the woods yet either. I hope your snow melts fast. Take care over there and wishing you a happy spring and a wonderful Easter.

  6. My heart goes hippity-hop over your lovely bunny plates and gorgeous bunny blue runner. Paired with all of those lovely bunny bowls and figurines, it is playfully elegant. Those cute bunny ear tapered candles are so unique. And the stacked cake stands with little bunnies really stole my heart. The blue color is so calming. It is a breathtaking Easter tablescape. Happy Easter.

    1. Marsha, thank you so much for your lovely comments. I loved your Easter tablescape as well! Yes, those bunny plates stole my heart many years ago and I still love them as much today as I did when I bought them. I’m really glad that I had the foresight to buy the runner as well, although I did stop myself at the napkins. Happy Easter to you too!

  7. Kim, the lovely shades of blue on your table would transport anyone from the snowy outside to spring! The bunny plates are eye-catching and the little bunnies up and down your runner are so cute! I liked the little bunny spilling the eggs. The design on the wine glasses is lovely. Any guest would be delighted to spend time with you at this table.

    1. Oh my gosh Sandra – that snow was just so much – you just pretty much have to ignore it and go about your business. Or at least that’s how I cope lol. Thank you for your comments, and yes, that bunny spilling the eggs was just fun/silliness on my part. You are most welcome at my table any time. Wishing you a very happy Easter!

  8. Love it Love it Love it Kim! Good job and I live in Florida so I don’t have to see all that snow anymore. (I was born and raised in Kansas so I do know big snow storms) LOL. In fact we told our kids and grand kids that if they want us at their weddings…they should set the dates for Spring, Summer or Fall…
Kim your table is lovely. The bunny ears candles are so unique…don’t think I have ever seen anything like them either. Years ago Avon had white candles with little bunnies that slid down the candles but that is about the closet I’ve come to bunny ears. I have the same salad plates and I love the expressions of the bunnies. And the cupcake stands are stacked haphazardly in a cabinet much like Debbee said in her post. However I do not have the table runner and it brings it all together. Thank you for the bunny meeting…you write like I do and I love it. Welcome again and we will blog hop again soon. Blessings Always! Kari

    1. Kari, thank you for your comments – you are always so generous in your compliments. Those bunny cupcake stands seem to be a staple for tablescaping and they are definitely a challenge to store. I love it that you have the same bunny salads and will have to pop back to your blog to see how you’ve styled them – I’m sure it will be fabulous! The bunny ear tapers were from Pier 1 and I’ve had them for a long time but I have seen them on eBay from time to time, although haven’t checked the price. Thanks again for your warm welcome and wishing you a very blessed Easter!

  9. Adorable Kim! I remember (and coveted!) those sweet bunny plates from WS…I especially love the first one peeking over his paws on the bottom of the plate. Blue and white is such a welcome departure from the pastel pink of Spring and Easter, how wonderful you have the matching runner too. So many sweet scampering and climbing bunnies on bowls and pedestals. I was hoping for some snow this winter as it is a rare thing for us, but I don’t want any in March! Like Jenna, we’re going to be in the 70s later this week. I hope Spring appears in your neck of the wood soon. So happy to join you at the table again and hop with you. Happy, Hoppy Spring! 🐰🐇

    1. Mary, March here is always an unpredictable month and the likelihood of a snow dump is high. But I hear you. If I lived where you do I wouldn’t want snow either this late in the year when everything is starting to bloom down there. Happy to hear that you will have a lovely upcoming week weather wise and I’m very much hoping for spring weather here too. Soon lol. Happy, hoppy spring to you as well!

  10. Kim, Your table is darling. Those bunnies are having a great time. Your table is pretty and it was fun to read your commentary! I love your source list and winter picture. I relate to long winters since I lived in Alaska for five years, many years ago. I haven’t forgotten the yearning for spring and the beautiful summers.
Your plate stack is creative, and your runner and napkins coordinate beautifully. I love your playful bunny cake stands. How clever to place bunny ears in candlesticks for the center of your table.
It is nice to meet you. I read all your header info. We traveled back to the lower 48 from Fairbanks and stopped in Calgary overnight, I think, in 1990.
Do you wait until Memorial Day to plant anything? Have a lovely Easter. Blessings to you, Bonnie

    1. Oh my gosh Bonnie – Alaska you say? Wow! It is not unlike our Yukon and the land of the midnight sun which, in itself, is spectacular. The rule of thumb for planting here is nothing before the May 24th long weekend – and even then it can be iffy. Thank you for your lovely comments and it was a pleasure meeting you as well! Enjoy your lovely garden and Easter blessing to you too!

  11. I loved your delivery in sharing this absolutely adorable tablescape, Kim. That wintry scene outside your door makes me glad I live in the upper end of the south! We get all the seasons, pretty much in time with the calendar as they fall. I must say, though, your color scheme on this table really complements that outdoor scene! I can appreciate bunnies scampering around with their antics, as they awaken from their winter slumber, planning whose garden they will attack first (Pam & Butch’s, based on her recent posts!). Love all the serving pieces you’ve used here along with the damask salad plates and runner. Those bunny ear tapers, though! Oh my, I never saw those at Pier 1. Kim, thank you for being your style and humor to the table and this group. I wish you a very happy spring…..whenever it finally arrives!

    1. It’s not unusual for snow here in March although we don’t typically get that much all at once. Its hard to find a place to put it! However, I did hear some robins a couple of days ago, so spring is on the way here and its just a matter of time. Rita, thanks so much for your comments and for your organizing efforts in these blog hops – they are just so much fun and I am honored to be part of them. Happy spring and I hope you have a wonderful Easter!

  12. Kim, oh my that snow does not look like spring (lol)! I remember those damask plates from Williams Sonoma and absolutely love them. So perfect that you also have the table runner to match. The darling bunny story you wove into your table is so much fun. Bunnies love our garden, and I am not happy when they munch on our flowers. But so far, I have not resorted to baking one into a pie like Mrs. McGregor. I love seeing your tables and your creativity. I would love some Cadbury eggs. It is a pleasure to hop with you, dear one. Hoping you see spring soon!

    1. Pam, thanks so much for your lovely comments. I’m sorry that the bunnies love your garden so much. I’m going to have to read the Peter Rabbit series because I had no idea that Mrs. McGregor baked one into a pie – oh my goodness! Thankfully, some of our snow is finally melting so spring is on the way – its just taking its sweet time. Its a pleasure to hop with you too lovely lady and I hope you and your family have a happy and blessed Easter!

  13. The damask rabbit plates are so cute, and I love the table runner. What I love best about your tablescape are the shades of blue because they work so well together, especially the placemats. The bunny ear tapers are a hoot! I would love to find some for our Easter table. 😀 I hope the bunnies can get out of the bowl and save the eggs! Happy Spring!

    1. Ricki Jill, thank you so much for your comments and visit! This is the table I use for Easter so it comes together fairly easily and I was happy to share it this year. I’ve had the bunny ear tapers for many years (not sure exactly how many) but I have seen them on eBay. Good luck if you decide to pursue. Wishing you a happy spring and a hoppy Easter!

  14. Hahaha that’s great! I love your bunny antics, and the bunnies themselves! I love that white porcelain – it’s so elegant. And speaking of, that damask is gorgeous and your plate stack is wonderful! How fun it would be to sit at that table, though I wouldn’t help you with the Cadbury eggs. Well … maybe just one! 🤣 Thanks for the fun and beautiful spring table inspiration my friend. With winter outside, you brought the spring in!

    1. Barbara, to say that I have a little bit of any obsession with bunnies would be an understatement. There’s just something about this time of year lol. Thanks for your lovely comments and you are welcome at my table anytime!! I sure hope your spring weather is better there and wishing you a very happy Easter!

  15. Oh Kim, so much snow!!! Bless your heart, of course thoughts of Spring make you giddy! Your bunny plates are adorable and I love that you have a matching table runner. The chargers look like they are blue sitting on the blue mats and this is such a pretty shade of blue! Your bunny narrative is so much fun, I love the bunnies scrambling out of their bowl to help, and the bunnies meeting to discuss Mr. McGregor’s garden 😂 Such a delightful post and table! I promise I’m trying to send Spring your way, we are supposed to be 75 tomorrow 🌞 I’m so glad you’ve joined our tablescape group, your tables are always so special 💕🐇

    1. Jenna, thanks so much for your sweet comments and thanks for sending warm weather wishes my way. 75 sounds heavenly sigh. However, some of the snow has melted and I did hear a robin a couple of days ago, so surely spring can’t be far behind, right? Here’s hoping. I’m sending best wishes for a happy spring and wonderful Easter right back at you!

  16. Oh! I so love the beautiful, color blue and white color palette of your bunny, rabbit theme tablescape! We share many of the same white on white cake and cupcake stands (love ’em but hard to store!). Clever how you stacked them too. Hope you have a happy Easter!

    1. Debbee, thanks so much for your visit and lovely comments! Yes, those cupcake stands are definitely a challenge to store – not unlike the bunny leaf dishes by Grace lol. I guess its a good thing that I only have a few of them. I hope you have a wonderful spring and a happy Easter as well! Do you have any more trips planned? Can’t wait to hear if you do. Take care!

  17. Your bunny plates are so appealing with their adorable expressions. The go nicely with your Italian Country Mikasa china. The blue color palate is very tranquil and inviting. I loved all the bunny bowls and your beautifully decorated eggs. Happy Spring

    1. Lynne, thanks for stopping by and leaving such lovely comments. The Mikasa Italian plates are a staple for my tablescaping and I’ve had them probably for a decade or so. I loved your table as well and am always in awe of your thrifting finds. Happy spring and happy Easter to you as well!

  18. So many CUTE bunnies, and your plates are adorable! Such a lovely spring setting in blue–pinned! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction

    1. Cecilia, thanks for your visit, your lovely comments, and for pinning. I have a little bit of an obsession with bunnies I have to admit lol. I love your vintage collection of jadeite and loved how you styled it on your table. I hope you are having a wonderful spring and happy Easter to you!
